A Prayer for Skillful Hands and a Teachable Heart

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for every gift, ability, opportunity, and assignment You have placed in my hands.

Help me never confuse having a gift with having finished growing.

Give me a teachable heart.

Show me where I need greater discipline, deeper knowledge, more practice, and better preparation.

When growth requires patience, keep me from becoming discouraged.

When correction comes, give me the humility to receive it.

When excellence requires more of me, give me the perseverance to keep developing.

Lord, make my hands skillful and my heart humble.

Teach me to steward my gifts well so that what You have entrusted to me becomes stronger, sharper, and more useful for Your purposes.

May the work of my hands reflect diligence, integrity, wisdom, and excellence.

And through everything I accomplish, may You receive the glory.

In Jesus’ name,

Amen.
